COORDINATOR CULVERT
(Site based - 1 year contract)
Purpose :
This role is assigned to a field construction organization in a single discipline supervisory position, responsible for supervising and directing activities of culvert construction craft, and receives routine supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.
Core Accountabilities :
Ensure all activities with respect to HSEC policies and procedures comply with the HSEC BHPB standard
Analyses workforce, material, and equipment requirements, and coordinates the culvert work plan requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related works rules as established by field construction management.
Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall culvert activities.
Assists superintendent in the preparation of construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Supervises and directs culvert non – manual personnel, as assigned
Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by culvert craft and others when in the operational area and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities :
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Experience (5 years >) in project engineering roles or similar position
Ability in supervising and directing activities of construction craft within as assigned are of the bridge construction
Ability in giving clear direction to construction workers
A throughout understanding of the culvert and civil structural construction
Must have a good communication skills
Experience in mining or construction project is preferred
